Reliance Consumer Products Enters Ice Cream Market With Bombay Creamery Starting At ₹10

Reliance Consumer Products enters the Indian ice-cream space via Bombay Creamery. The offering consists of cups, cones and sticks starting at ₹10. Western India has begun rollout, for which a broader launch across the country is planned.
The acquisition provides Reliance with an additional everyday consumer category to present within the ambit of its existing distribution chain.
Bombay Creamery Takes A Low-Price Entry Point
The ₹10 starting price is well below the ₹20 price cited for Amul's mango-flavoured ice cream stick and Kashmiri Kesar Kulfi stick on quick-commerce platforms including Zepto, Swiggy Instamart and Blinkit.
Reliance Consumer Products is also putting emphasis on the ingredients. T. Krishnakumar, Director, Reliance Consumer Products, said Bombay Creamery is being built around dairy ingredients and uses real dairy cream.
The Market Is Getting More Crowded
India's ice-cream market is projected to grow at a 15% CAGR and reach $16.10 billion by 2035, according to Expert Market Research.
Alongside established names, newer brands such as Go Zero, Noto, Get A Way, Frubon and Minus 30 have entered the space. Demand is also spreading into newer flavours, while quick-commerce is making home delivery a more convenient option.
Reliance Has Used This Route Before
There is a familiar element to the pricing strategy. Reliance's revived Campa brand also entered the soft-drinks market with a ₹10 price point for a 200ml bottle.
Campa recorded ₹4,700 crore in gross sales in FY26, helping Reliance's FMCG revenue reach ₹22,000 crore. Reliance Retail director Isha Ambani has described Campa as the country's fourth-largest carbonated soft-drinks label, with double-digit market share in several key markets.
Reliance Plans To Build The Category
Deven Choksey, Managing Director of DRChoksey FinServ, described the ice-cream launch as part of Reliance's longer-term strategy and pointed to the company's wider consumer ecosystem.
Bombay Creamery adds another category to RCPL's portfolio, which already includes food, beverages, personal care and home-care products.
