In a major boost to India’s defence sector, Kalyani Strategic Systems (a Bharat Forge subsidiary) signed a landmark contract with UAE-based GRADEONE for 155mm howitzer barrels.
On the same day, Bharat Forge also entered an MoU with UK’s Windracers to localise and deploy heavy lift drones in India. Both deals strengthen India’s global defence collaborations and technology capabilities.
On September 11, 2025, GRADEONE subsidiary MP3 International (UAE) announced a significant agreement with Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL), the defence arm of Bharat Forge.
Under the deal, KSSL will supply 155mm large calibre howitzer barrels critical components used in long-range artillery systems worldwide. These barrels are essential for delivering high-explosive fire support, ensuring performance reliability, and extending the life of the howitzers.
The agreement was signed by Khalifa Al Ali, CEO of MP3 International, and Neelesh Tungar, CEO of KSSL. It represents the first such collaboration between an Indian and Emirati company for a core defence component.
This partnership not only strengthens UAE–India defence ties but also expands opportunities in Southeast Asia and MENA markets, reinforcing sovereign capabilities and long-term cooperation.
At the DSEI UK 2025 defence exhibition in London, Bharat Forge Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UK-based Windracers Limited, known for its heavy-lift dual-use UAV, the Windracers ULTRA.
The MoU, set for an initial two-year term, focuses on:
Potential roles include Carrier On Board Delivery (COD) for the Indian Navy, critical logistics for the Army and Air Force, and other high-demand operations across challenging terrains.
