Jio Payment Solutions Limited (JPSL) has entered the cross-border payments segment, giving Indian businesses a way to collect payments from customers outside the country, as per news reports. The new service covers international cards, multi-currency virtual accounts, and local payment options.

The Jio Financial Services subsidiary said the launch follows RBI authorisation to operate as a Payment Aggregator for Cross-Border transactions covering exports and imports.

Payments For Exporters Across Global Markets

The service is aimed at online sellers, digital businesses, freelancers, creators, and SaaS companies. JPSL said its solutions cover around half of India's total export footprint.

Exporters serving markets such as the US, UK, Europe, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia can quote prices in local currencies and accept payments through the platform.

Multiple Ways to Collect Payments

JPSL is offering hosted checkouts, payment links, recurring invoicing, and embedded SDKs. Businesses can also use secure payment screens and white-label APIs depending on how they want to integrate payments.

The company said the platform is designed to reduce the number of partners and manual processes involved in overseas collections. It offers T+2 settlement without a rolling reserve.

Real-Time Tracking and Same-Day Documentation

Merchants can complete onboarding digitally and monitor transactions and settlements through a real-time dashboard. The platform also includes end-to-end encryption, localised data storage, and transaction monitoring.

JPSL said FIRA/eFIRA documentation will be made available within the same working day.

Citi To Support International Collections

JPSL has partnered with Citi for Authorised Dealer Category-1 and export collection account services. Citi's global clearing network will support international payment collection, along with automated compliance checks and settlement services.

JPSL MD and CEO Kashinath Hariharan said the company is bringing global acceptance and operational efficiency together on a single platform.

Citi Asia South Head of Services Mridula Iyer said the partnership connects domestic innovation with global financial ecosystems and will help Indian merchants participate in global commerce.

JPSL Expands Beyond Domestic Payments

JPSL already operates as a payment aggregator for online and physical point-of-sale transactions.

The new service adds international e-commerce to its existing digital commerce and physical retail offerings.
