August 19, 2025 (Tuesday): Banks in Agartala will observe a holiday marking the birthday of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur. This holiday is region-specific and does not affect banking services in other cities.
August 23, 2025 (Saturday): Being the 4th Saturday of the month, banks across India will remain shut for the standard weekend closure.
August 24, 2025 (Sunday): All Indian bank branches will be closed for the regular Sunday holiday.
August 25, 2025 (Monday): Guwahati branches will remain closed in respect of Tirubhav Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva, a significant spiritual observance for the state of Assam.

Additional notable bank holidays beyond August 25 include a wide closure on August 27, 2025, for Ganesh Chaturthi in cities such as Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. August 28, 2025, will see closures in Bhubaneshwar and Panaji for Nuakhai and the second day of Ganesh Chaturthi. Regular Sunday shutdown on August 31, 2025, rounds out the month's bank holiday calendar.
