ACME Solar Holdings Limited has been awarded the prestigious 450 MW - 1,800 MWh SJVN FDRE-IV project under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding model. The project reinforces the company’s stronghold in renewable energy by integrating solar and advanced battery storage technologies to deliver a reliable peak power supply.
On November 10, 2025, ACME Solar Holdings Limited secured the SJVN FDRE-IV project, featuring a tariff of ₹6.75 per unit for a 25-year period. The tender, issued under the TBCB guidelines, witnessed an e-reverse auction on October 9, 2025, followed by a Letter of Award received on November 10, 2025. The project entails delivering 4 MWh per MW of capacity within a four-hour peak window each day, maintaining 90% monthly availability.
The initiative combines 300 MW of solar power with a 1,800 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), enabling an efficient power supply during peak demand hours. It marks one of the few Indian projects explicitly designed to enhance grid stability and manage critical load periods.
The project will utilise ACME Solar’s night-time transmission capacity at high irradiation zones in Rajasthan, ensuring optimum utilisation of existing infrastructure. Notably, this will be the company’s first project to employ Indian-made solar cells listed under ALMM List-II. This move aligns with the government’s focus on promoting domestic manufacturing in the renewable sector.
