The Odisha government is set to credit financial assistance amounting to over ₹315 crore under the Subhadra Yojana to more than 4.57 lakh beneficiaries across the state today on January 22, 2026, Thursday.
The assistance will be transferred directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the direct benefit transfer mechanism, reinforcing the state’s focus on efficient and transparent welfare delivery.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will formally initiate the disbursal at a state-level programme scheduled at 11 am at the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology campus in Bhubaneswar. The event marks another significant phase in the implementation of the women-centric welfare scheme.
The Subhadra Yojana aims to provide direct financial support to eligible women beneficiaries in Odisha. By transferring funds directly into bank accounts, the scheme seeks to reduce leakages, ensure timely assistance, and strengthen financial inclusion among women. The current disbursal reflects the government’s effort to widen coverage and address gaps identified in earlier phases.
A total of 1,78,398 newly enrolled women beneficiaries will receive their first instalment under the scheme on Thursday. This marks their formal inclusion and ensures that newly eligible applicants begin receiving benefits without delay. The inclusion of new beneficiaries highlights the ongoing expansion of the programme.
In addition to new beneficiaries, the current phase also addresses earlier exclusions. Around 2,55,265 beneficiaries who did not receive assistance during the first and second instalments will now receive their due payments. This step is expected to resolve grievances and improve trust in the scheme’s implementation.
The government is releasing the Subhadra Yojana Beneficiary List 2026 for all districts in phases. Beneficiaries can visit the official portal at subhadra.odisha.gov.in, navigate to the “Beneficiary List 2026” section, select their district, block or ULB, and GP or ward. The list can be viewed online and downloaded in PDF format.
