The Maharashtra government has extended the e-KYC deadline for the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana following difficulties faced by beneficiaries. The earlier deadline of November 18, 2025 has now been pushed to the end of December.
The decision was taken after several districts reported disruptions caused by natural calamities, which prevented many eligible women from completing the e-KYC process in time. Announcing the extension on X (formerly Twitter), Aditi S Tatkare said that many beneficiaries were unable to meet the deadline and added, “Taking note of these difficulties with utmost seriousness, the state government has taken a highly important decision.”
The new deadline for completing the e-KYC process for the Ladki Bahin Yojana is December 31, 2025. The government has clarified that completing e-KYC is compulsory for all beneficiaries to continue receiving financial support.
Under the scheme, eligible women aged 21 to 65 years receive monthly financial assistance directly into their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer. The programme aims to improve financial independence, support health and nutrition, and encourage stronger decision-making roles for women within households.
Women whose husbands or fathers are no longer alive, or those who are divorced, must complete their own e-KYC and submit verified supporting documents. These may include death certificates, divorce certificates, or court orders, which must be provided to the Women and Child Development Officer in the beneficiary’s district.
The government has cautioned that beneficiaries who fail to complete Aadhaar-based authentication within the extended timeframe may face interruptions in financial assistance. Without e-KYC completion, funds under the Ladki Bahin Yojana may not be released.
The state has also reminded beneficiaries that e-KYC needs to be completed every year between June and July. This annual verification cycle ensures that records remain updated and benefits are transferred correctly.

The extension provides additional time for eligible women to complete mandatory verification and avoid disruption of benefits. The government has urged beneficiaries to finish their e-KYC requirements well before the new deadline to ensure uninterrupted assistance.
