The Maharashtra government has announced a final opportunity for women enrolled under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana to correct errors in their e-KYC details.
The move addresses challenges faced by beneficiaries, particularly in rural areas, during digital verification.
The correction window will remain open until December 31, 2025, after which incomplete e-KYC may lead to suspension of monthly benefits, as per news reports.
Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare clarified that beneficiaries will be allowed to correct their e-KYC information only once.
This decision follows representations from applicants who encountered technical or documentation related errors while completing the verification process.
Officials have emphasised that this is a final opportunity, and beneficiaries should ensure accuracy before submission.
The deadline to complete or correct e-KYC is December 31, 2025. Beneficiaries who do not comply will be considered ineligible for the monthly assistance of ₹1,500. Payments may be halted even if instalments were credited earlier.
The department has advised beneficiaries to complete the process well before the deadline to avoid last minute issues.
Special relief has been extended to women whose fathers or husbands are no longer alive. Such beneficiaries can now complete e-KYC without providing UAID numbers, using the updated option available on the official scheme portal.
This measure is aimed at reducing procedural hurdles.
The e-KYC process can be completed online by following these steps:
Upon successful submission, the e-KYC status will show as completed.
