The Haryana government has transferred the second instalment of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana into the bank accounts of 701,965 eligible women. The scheme provides ₹2,100 per month to women aged 23 and above from families earning less than ₹1 lakh a year. It aims to offer steady financial support and improve the economic stability of low-income households.
The Nayab Singh Saini–led government launched a mobile app for the scheme on September 25, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya. The app allows women to apply easily and track their benefits. Until November 30, around 9 lakh women applied, out of which 701,965 were found eligible after verification.
Among the eligible beneficiaries, 558,346 women have completed Aadhaar-based KYC, while verification for 143,619 women is still pending. Officials have urged these beneficiaries to complete their Aadhaar authentication soon so that future instalments can be processed without delays.
The state government has also updated the scheme structure. Instead of receiving money every month, beneficiaries will now get payments once every 3 months, with the full 3-month amount deposited at the same time. Officials say this change will make the process smoother and more efficient for both the government and the beneficiaries.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini described the initiative as more than just financial support. He said it is a major step towards women’s social empowerment and economic independence, helping them become more self-reliant and confident.
The first round of payments under the scheme was released on November 1, and the government plans to continue supporting eligible women consistently through the revised quarterly payment system.
The second instalment of the Lado Lakshmi Yojana marks another step in Haryana’s effort to empower women from low-income families. With over 7 lakh women already receiving benefits and many more completing verification, the scheme is becoming an important source of financial stability and social upliftment for women across the state.
