The Delhi Lok Adalat, initially set for December 13, 2025, has been rescheduled to January 10, 2026. This change was necessitated by the High Court of Delhi declaring December 13 on a court sitting day, impacting the availability of court complexes for the Lok Adalat.
Delhi’s National Lok Adalat will be held on Saturday, 10 January 2026, offering vehicle owners a limited, one-day chance to close eligible traffic e-challans without the usual back-and-forth of regular court hearings. For January 10, Lok Adalat, the focus is on non-serious violations that can be compounded. Challans must be visible on the Delhi Traffic Police portal (or Parivahan) and must have been sent to the Virtual Court up to September 30, 2025.
Common examples that are generally taken up include:
Serious offences (such as drunk driving or hit-and-run) are not meant for settlement through this process.

Lok Adalat is, quite literally, a “people’s court” a forum where disputes are settled through mutual consent, usually in a faster, less formal way than regular court hearings. For traffic matters, it is used to clear minor, compoundable cases without long proceedings.
