A new entrant in India’s ride-hailing space is introducing an alternative pricing structure, focusing on driver earnings and simplified cost models for passengers.

Zero-Commission Model and Revenue Structure

NEMBharat, the consumer-facing brand of World Economic Mobility Ltd., is being launched in Delhi NCR as part of its initial rollout. The platform differentiates itself by eliminating commission and subscription charges for drivers.

As per news reports, Deepak Kumar Shah, Director and Chief Executive Officer, said drivers will retain “100% of the earnings from every trip,” adding that this is a permanent structure rather than a promotional incentive.

The company will instead generate revenue through a customer-side convenience or booking fee, which he said will range between ₹1 and ₹12.

Operations, Fleet and Expansion Plans

The platform has already onboarded 830 vehicles for outstation travel and 180 for local rides in Delhi. According to Shah, “nearly 1,000 drivers and around 3,200 customers have registered on the platform” ahead of launch.

Delhi NCR marks the first phase of expansion, with plans to scale operations across other cities. The company is targeting a fleet size of 70,000 vehicles in the region by the end of the calendar year.

Unlike conventional models, NEMBharat plans to connect directly with drivers, bypassing fleet operators.

Booking System and Safety Framework

The service will operate on a prepaid booking model, requiring customers to pay in advance. Cancellation policies include a 25% deduction in case of driver cancellations and a 35% deduction for customer cancellations.

The platform has also introduced safety measures such as mandatory KYC verification for both drivers and passengers, SOS features, and a structured incident response system.

Kanchi Sharma, Chief Operating Officer, said the aim is “not just to create another ride-hailing service, but to demonstrate that a fair system for drivers also creates a better experience for passengers.”
