India's Gem and Jewellery Exports Rise 26.5% to $2.21 Billion in June 2026 on Strong Global Demand

India's gross gem and jewellery exports recorded a strong recovery in June 2026, rising 26.51% year-on-year to $2.21 billion, according to the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), as per news report.
The growth was supported by improved demand across key export markets and a decline in international gold prices.
June Exports Recover on Strong Overseas Demand
GJEPC attributed the improvement in exports to healthy demand for gold jewellery, cut and polished diamonds, platinum jewellery and lab-grown diamonds across major international markets.
The council also said a 10.28% month-on-month decline in global gold prices lowered raw material costs, enabling Indian exporters to offer more competitive prices in the international markets.
Gold Jewellery Leads Growth Across Segments
Gold jewellery exports rose 54.50% YoY to $1.09 billion, while studded gold jewellery exports increased 85.35%.
Cut and polished diamond exports grew 8.71%, platinum jewellery exports advanced 34.77%, and polished lab-grown diamond exports surged 52.25% during June.
The exports of silver jewellery and coloured gemstones declined during the month.
