Dell Technologies has entered a collaboration with NxtGen AI to establish a dedicated artificial intelligence computing facility in India.
The project is intended to strengthen domestic access to AI processing capacity for businesses, start-ups and public sector programmes.
The facility will operate within NxtGen’s sovereign cloud environment and support a range of advanced AI and computing workloads.
Dell Technologies confirmed it will provide core computing and data centre systems for NxtGen AI’s new facility in India. The project is designed to support growing demand for AI computing resources across commercial and government sectors.
The infrastructure will be hosted within a sovereign cloud framework to ensure domestic data handling and operational control.
The facility will be built to handle AI model training, inference processes and high-performance computing tasks.
NxtGen plans to use the infrastructure to expand its AI-as-a-service offerings and provide scalable computing resources to organisations seeking GPU capacity within India.
Dell will supply integrated server and storage systems along with data centre equipment to support the deployment. The computing cluster will include over 4,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, supported by networking and processing units designed for AI workloads.
Additional servers and storage platforms will complement the setup to manage data-intensive operations.
Dell’s India leadership stated that the initiative aims to address increasing demand for reliable AI infrastructure. NxtGen’s management highlighted that the project represents progress in building domestic AI capabilities under a sovereign cloud model.
NVIDIA representatives noted that the deployment aligns with broader efforts to develop secure and efficient computing environments for AI development in India.
The facility is expected to provide AI computing access to a range of users including enterprises, research institutions, start-ups and government departments.
By offering locally hosted infrastructure, the project may support wider adoption of AI technologies while reducing dependency on overseas computing resources.
