Upper Circuit Stocks Today – Stocks Locked in Upper Circuit on 8 September, 2023

On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading flat with the Sensex up around 68 points or 0.1% at 66,335 and the Nifty-50 up around 16 points or 0.08% at 19,742. About 1,937 shares have advanced, 1,389 declined, and 201 are unchanged on the BSE. 

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex Index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were NTPC Ltd, Larsen & Toubro Ltd and Bajaj FinServ Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were ITC Ltd, Wipro Ltd and JSW Steel Ltd.

The BSE Power Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Metals Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Power Index soared 1.78%, led by Tata Power Ltd and NTPC Ltd while the BSE Metals Index was down 0.42% dragged down by Hindalco Industries Ltd and Jindal Steel Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.44% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.41%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Power Finance Corporation of India Ltd and Vodafone Idea Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Cochin Shipyard Ltd and GTL Infrastructure Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd, Landmark Cars Ltd and Varroc Engineering Ltd.
