About Elango Industries
Elango Industries Limited is an India-based company. The Company is engaged primarily in the business of manufacturing steel ingots from the scrap materials. Its plant is located at Marathur Village, Maiyladuthurai, Nagai District.
The Company focuses on external power contactor (EPC) contract for power plant. Kaveri Gas Power Limited (KGPL) is a special purpose vehicle (SPV), which was promoted by the Company. KGPL operates a natural gas-based captive power plant of 14 megawatt capacity at Maruthur Village, Mayiladuthurai Taluk, Nagapattinam District in Tamil Nadu, India.
Elango Industries Limited is a Public Limited Company established in 1989 and was manufacturing Steel Ingots from 1991 to 2003. The company was promoted by Mr. S. Elangova. The Company came with Public Issue in the year 1993 for Rs. 2.63 Corer. In the year 2005, the company decided to enter into power sector through its investment in Kaveri Gas Power Ltd, an SPV.
During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2010 (fiscal 2010), its plant and machinery had manufacturing capacity of 13,000 tons per annum of steel ingots from metal scraps.
