Top Gainers of the Day – Cipla, Trent, and Tata Motors Lead on October 9, 2024

On October 9, 2024, Indian stock market indices, the BSE Sensex dropped by 0.21% to close at 81,467.10. The Nifty50 on the other hand, closed at 24,981.95 down by 31.20 points (-0.12%).

• On Wednesday, Trent Ltd share price opened at ₹8,089.00 and touched the day’s high at ₹8,322.20. The stock closed at ₹8,230.00, reflecting a 2.34% rise. 
• Tata Motors announced that the global wholesales in Q2 FY25 were lower by 11%, as compared to Q2 FY24. However, the share price of Tata Motors saw a 2.09% increase, closing at ₹939.
• State Bank of India rose 1.84%, closing at ₹795.8, an increase from its previous close of ₹781.45, with an intraday high of ₹804.35. 
• Tech Mahindra saw a 1.77% increase, closing at ₹1,658, after reaching a high of ₹1,669.80 during the day.
