
Infosys announced on January 7, 2026, that it has entered into a collaboration with Amazon Web Services to support the adoption of generative artificial intelligence by enterprises.
The arrangement involves integrating Infosys’ AI platform, Infosys Topaz, with AWS’ generative AI assistant, Amazon Q Developer, the company said in a filing.
According to Infosys, the collaboration will be applied across a range of internal functions, including software development, human resources, recruitment, sales and vendor management.
The company said it plans to deploy generative AI tools to assist with routine and process-driven activities in these areas. The focus is on handling scale and operational complexity within large teams.
Infosys said a key area of use will be the software development lifecycle. The integration of Infosys Topaz with Amazon Q Developer is expected to support automated documentation and provide assistance during coding and testing.
This includes help with code generation, debugging, application testing and the updating of legacy systems that remain in active use across enterprises.
In addition to internal deployment, Infosys said it will use AWS’ generative AI services to develop solutions for clients across sectors such as manufacturing, telecom, financial services and consumer goods.
These solutions are intended to be deployed within client technology environments and aligned with existing cloud and enterprise systems.
The company also said it is building digital engagement platforms for sports and entertainment companies using Infosys Topaz and Amazon Bedrock.
These platforms are designed to support real-time and personalised content delivery for large audiences, including users accessing services simultaneously across multiple regions.
As of January 7, 2026, 1:12 pm, Infosys Ltd share price was trading at ₹1,636.10, a 1.48% increase from the previous closing price.

Infosys said the collaboration with AWS is focused on expanding the use of generative AI across internal processes and client-facing services. The initiative shows ongoing plans by large technology firms to incorporate AI tools into enterprise operations.
