Gabion Technologies India Limited has received Vendor Approval, also referred to as Notice of No Objection (NONO), for its Rock Catch Fence and Barrier system for use in Package C3 of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) Project.
The package has been awarded to Larsen & Toubro Construction and involves critical civil works, including viaduct construction, tunnels, earthworks, and slope protection measures.
The approval was granted by the project Engineer following a detailed review of the company’s technical documentation, including design methodology, performance validation, and test results. The assessment was conducted in line with project specifications and approved Inspection and Test Plan procedures.
This clearance allows Gabion Technologies to participate in supplying safety and slope protection systems under Package C3, subject to continued adherence to quality and testing standards for future consignments.
The development also comes at a time when the Union Budget highlighted the government’s intent to expand India’s high-speed rail network beyond the Mumbai–Ahmedabad corridor.
Proposed new bullet train corridors are expected to generate long-term opportunities for companies operating in specialised infrastructure, safety, and engineering solutions linked to railway development.
With this vendor approval, Gabion Technologies strengthens its presence in India’s growing rail infrastructure segment. Participation in such marquee projects enhances the company’s credentials in safety and slope protection solutions, potentially opening doors to future contracts across upcoming high-speed rail developments.
The management stated that the vendor approval for Rock Catch Fence / Barrier systems for the MAHSR Project reflects the Company’s engineering expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality safety and protection solutions for complex infrastructure projects. The evolving policy support for high-speed rail development further strengthens the long-term growth outlook for the Company.
