Utkarsh Small Finance Bank's Capital Structuring & Fund Raise Committee cleared the NCD issue on September 11, 2026. The bonds will be offered to eligible investors through private placement.

The bank plans to issue up to 30,000 NCDs, with each carrying a face value of ₹1 lakh. It will seek approval from BSE to list the bonds on its Wholesale Debt Market segment.

₹200 Crore Base Issue

The NCD issue will start at ₹200 crore, while the bank can raise another ₹100 crore through the green shoe option. The NCDs will be issued in one or more tranches.

The bonds will be unsecured and subordinated. This means investors will not have any specific assets of the bank as security against the NCDs.

Interest Rate of Up To 11.75%

The NCDs will run for seven years from the deemed date of allotment. The interest rate can be as high as 11.75% a year, with payments made every quarter.

Utkarsh Small Finance Bank has also authorised an application to BSE for in-principle approval for listing the NCDs. The issue will be subject to the required regulatory and other approvals.

Bank Had Earlier Planned ₹500 Crore Fundraise

The latest NCD issue follows the bank's June decision to raise up to ₹500 crore through Tier II bonds during FY27.

The September 11 approval is for the new NCD issue of up to ₹300 crore. The bank will now move ahead with the required listing and regulatory process.
