Can Fin Homes has implemented Project Tejas, a ₹297-crore digital transformation programme with a seven-year timeline, as per an exchange filing dated September 11, 2026.
The company started the project in February 2025 as part of its plans to change its existing technology systems. The first phase was tested across 11 branches in July 2026.
The company has since taken the project to around 177 branches. Can Fin Homes now has 266 branches across 21 States and one Union Territory.
Business Functions Covered
Project Tejas covers several parts of the company’s operations, including lending, collections, deposits, finance, and risk. It also includes document management, HR, and enterprise reporting.
The programme uses a cloud-based and data-driven system. It includes real-time monitoring, customer self-service, and Account Aggregator integrations. Data and analytics tools are also being used across the covered functions.
AI-Based Tools
Can Fin Homes is gradually adding AI-based applications to some processes. These include document processing, bank-statement analysis, fraud controls, and underwriting.
AI-enabled applications are also being used in collections and customer servicing. The company said these applications form part of its ongoing digital transformation programme.
Companies Involved in the Project
The project has been taken up with a group of consulting and technology partners. These include PwC, IBM India, KPMG, Pennant Technologies, Kiya, Astral Infor, Newgen, Knight FinTech, Trustt, Workline and Shephertz.
Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, Fortinet, CtrlS, Motadata, Bloo and Arcon are supporting the technology setup. Their areas include cloud, networking, cybersecurity, IT service management, and enterprise technology.
