Adani Ports Share Price in Focus; Receives SEBI Settlement Order Concerning Former Executives

Adani Ports has informed the exchanges about a SEBI settlement order involving its Managing Director Karan Adani and former CFO B. Ravi. Both have paid ₹13.65 lakh each under the settlement.

Adani Ports had received the settlement order from SEBI on 10 September 2026. This order comes after Karan Adani and B. Ravi filed applications for settlement under the SEBI Settlement Proceedings Regulations, 2018, as per the exchange filing. 

The two had offered to resolve the proceedings without admitting or denying the findings of fact and conclusions of law pertaining to alleged violations of SEBI's listing regulations and the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956. 

What The SEBI Order Says 

The proceedings relate to alleged violations of Regulation 17(8) read with Paragraph B of Part B of Schedule II of the SEBI Listing Regulations, 2015. The filing also refers to Section 21 of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956.  

SEBI's settlement order was received by Adani Ports on September 10. The company disclosed the matter under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations.  

₹13.65 Lakh Paid by Each 

Karan Adani and B. Ravi have each paid ₹13.65 lakh (₹13,65,000) as the settlement amount. The same amount is mentioned in the filing under the details of the penalty, restriction or sanction imposed.   

Adani Ports said the settlement order has no financial impact on the company. The filing also states that no action was required to be taken by the company in relation to the communication.
