Federal Bank has reported its consolidated financial results for the fourth quarter of FY26, marking a notable increase in both total income and net profit. This performance has drawn attention to the bank's share price in the market. 

Federal Bank Q4 FY26 Earnings Results 

In the March 2026 quarter, Federal Bank's total income rose by 12% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹9,132.47 crore, compared to ₹8,155.29 crore in the same period last year. Sequentially, this represents a 7.4% increase from ₹8,503.16 crore in the December 2025 quarter.  

The bank's net profit also saw a substantial rise, climbing 25.7% YoY to ₹1,393.25 crore from ₹1,108.31 crore a year ago, and up 24% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) from ₹1,123.93 crore in the previous quarter. 

Annual Performance for FY26 

For the full fiscal year 2026, Federal Bank's total income increased by 7% YoY to ₹34,272.42 crore, up from ₹32,030.25 crore in FY25. The net profit for FY26 also showed growth, rising by 6.7% YoY to ₹4,483.38 crore from ₹4,201.49 crore in the previous fiscal year. 

CASA and Asset Growth 

The CASA ratio improved to 32.94%, up 271 basis points year-on-year. The structural shift in the asset mix resulted in strong growth in segments like Commercial Banking (up 5.92% QoQ) and Retail Banking (up 3.21% QoQ). Fee income also increased, reaching ₹990.92 crore, up 10.54% QoQ. 

Asset quality improved with Gross NPA and Net NPA, reaching record lows of 1.62% and 0.20%, respectively. Return metrics showed RoA at 1.36% and NIM at 3.74%, while RoE expanded to 13.69%.

Operational Efficiency and Expansion 

Federal Bank's total business reached ₹5,78,503.76 crore, registering a 4.54% QoQ growth. Gross advances rose to ₹2,68,369.03 crore, led by Commercial Banking, Retail, and the CV/CE segments. Total deposits increased to ₹3,13,909.39 crore, up 5.41% QoQ, driven by Resident and NR books. 

The bank's operating efficiency improved with a cost-to-income ratio of 47.28%, a sequential reduction of 665 basis points. The provision coverage ratio (excluding TWO) improved to 87.07%, up 1,193 basis points sequentially. 

Federal Bank Share Price Performance 

As of April 29, 2026, at 3:30 PM, Federal Bank share price on NSE was closed at ₹284.75 down by 2.01% from the previous closing price.
