
NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced the commercial operation of an additional 50 MW solar capacity in Rajasthan.
The capacity forms part of a larger renewable energy project being developed through Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited.
The company stated that the third phase capacity of 50 MW solar power has been declared under commercial operation with effect from June 14, 2026.
The newly commissioned capacity is part of a 300 MW solar component within a 200 MW Renewable Energy Round-The-Clock (RTC) project located in Rajasthan.
Following the latest commissioning, the cumulative operational solar capacity under the project has reached 250 MW out of the planned 300 MW solar component.
The project is being executed through Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited.
NTPC Green Energy stated that its current commercial capacity stood at 10,621.40 MW prior to the latest addition.
With the commissioning of the 50 MW capacity, the group's total installed capacity has increased to 10,671.40 MW.
The project is being developed through ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, a joint venture between ONGC and NTPC Green Energy.
Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited operates as a step-down subsidiary under the joint venture structure.

As of 12 June 2026, NTPC Green Energy share price was closed at ₹98.35 per share, reflecting a gain of 1.32% from the previous close.
