Castrol India Limited has announced the launch of new full synthetic engine oils across its two-wheeler and four-wheeler product lines.
The move marks a significant shift in the Indian lubricants market, as the company brings full synthetic technology to mass-market segments that traditionally relied on semi-synthetic or mineral oils.
With this transition, the company aims to deliver higher performance, improved engine protection, and smoother riding experiences for everyday commuters and vehicle owners.
In the two-wheeler segment, the company has introduced Castrol Activ Full Synthetic 10W-30 and Castrol Activ Full Synthetic 5W-30 under its flagship Activ range. These products are designed to cater to modern motorcycles and evolving rider expectations.
The new lubricants are engineered to deliver around 20% improved protection across the engine, clutch, and gearbox. Existing viscosities such as 20W-40 will continue to remain available, allowing riders to choose options based on their vehicle requirements.
The launch also coincides with the silver jubilee year of the Castrol Activ brand, marking 25 years of the product line in the Indian market.
The company has also strengthened its passenger car engine oil portfolio by upgrading Castrol GTX 5W-30 to Castrol GTX Full Synthetic 5W-30. In addition, it has introduced Castrol GTX Full Synthetic 0W-20, targeting the rapidly growing low-viscosity engine oil segment.
These new formulations aim to provide cleaner engines and improved deposit control while delivering reliable performance. The products complement the company’s existing premium lubricant range, including Castrol MAGNATEC and Castrol EDGE.
The entire product range will be distributed through Castrol India’s extensive retail network of over 150,000 outlets across the country. Customers will also be able to purchase the products through online marketplaces such as Amazon and Flipkart.
On April 9, 2026, Castrol India share price opened at ₹179.25, touching the day’s high at ₹181.05, as of 11:21 AM on the NSE.
