Bajaj Auto has clarified that its exposure to Venezuela remains minimal, despite recent political developments in the South American nation.
The company stated that exports to the country form a very small portion of its overall overseas shipments, suggesting limited operational or financial impact, as per The Economic Times report.
Other Indian automakers have also indicated negligible presence in the market.
Bajaj Auto confirmed that its exports to Venezuela account for less than 1% of its total overseas volumes. The company noted that while certain models such as Pulsar and Boxer are popular in the country, the scale of exports remains small within the broader export portfolio.
The clarification came in response to questions regarding potential implications following recent political events in Venezuela. The company indicated that the situation is unlikely to have a material effect on its business, given the low contribution of the market to overall exports.
During the April to December period of FY26, Bajaj Auto’s total exports rose to 1,639,971 units, compared with 1,373,595 units in the same period last year. This represents a year-on-year increase of 19%, supported by demand across multiple international markets.
Another Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, TVS Motor Company, also stated that it does not have a meaningful presence in Venezuela, indicating limited exposure across the domestic auto industry.
