On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with Sensex down around 240 points or 0.38% at 62,929 and the Nifty trading down by 60 points or 0.32% at 18,696. About 1,579 shares have advanced, 1,352 declined, and 108 are unchanged on the BSE. 

Top gainers and losers on BSE Sensex Index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Wipro Ltd, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd and Infosys Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Asian Paints Ltd, Bajaj Finance Ltd and Bajaj FinServ Ltd.

The BSE Power Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE Oil & Gas Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Power Index soared 0.34%, led by Tata Power Ltd and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd while the BSE Telecommunication Index was down 0.42% dragged down by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Petronet LNG Ltd. 

The indices in the broader markets were trading flat, with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.03% and the BSE Small-cap index down 0.06%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Jindal Steel & Power Ltd and Exide Industries Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Subros Ltd and Moschip Technologies Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Remedium Lifecare Ltd and HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd and Central Bank of India.
