In May, the Quant Small Cap Fund increased its holdings in Adani Enterprises and 8 other companies, while reducing its share in Aurobindo Pharma and 4 other stocks.  

The fund also added new investments, exited some positions, and adjusted its portfolio with a defensive focus by increasing its large-cap allocation, as per The Economic Times report. 

Investment Changes and Portfolio Adjustments 

The Quant Small Cap Fund added 2.59 lakh shares of Adani Enterprises, bringing its total holdings to 30.24 lakh shares in May.  

Additionally, the fund increased its position in Adani Green Energy with an addition of 15.12 lakh shares and took a stake in Blackbuck by acquiring 6.54 lakh shares.  

Other increases included investments in companies such as Black BoxKalyani SteelsManappuram FinancePTC IndiaSafari Industries (India), and Strides Pharma Science. 

The fund reduced its exposure by selling 7,792 shares of Aurobindo Pharma and 87 lakh shares of NBCC, among others.  

During the same month, it incorporated six new companies, namely Apollo TyresExide IndustriesHeritage FoodsKaynes Technology IndiaSona BLW Precision Forgings, and Viyash Scientific into its portfolio.  

The fund completed its exit from BASF IndiaMinda Corporation, and Sequent Scientific. 

Overall Portfolio Strategy 

By the end of May 2026, Quant Small Cap Fund managed 103 stocks, an increase from 100 in the previous month, with an Asset Under Management (AUM) reaching ₹31,774 crore.  

This fund seeks long-term growth and capital appreciation through investments largely in the small-cap sector.  

Reliance Industries represented the largest allocation at 8.36% of the Net Asset Value (NAV), followed by RBL Bank at 5.65%. 

For the month, sector allocations increased in Telecom by 1.66%, Power by 1.23%, and Auto by 1.17%, while Oil & Gas, Construction, and Media saw decreased allocations.
