Several stocks are likely to remain in focus on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, following company-specific developments, monthly business updates, order wins, regulatory developments and strategic announcements. 

Hero MotoCorp and NMDC have reported their August operational updates, while Welspun Corp, Sical Logistics and ARSS Infrastructure Projects have announced significant business developments. Wipro and Gland Pharma have also reported developments that could attract investor attention. 

Hero MotoCorp Ltd 

Hero MotoCorp reported total sales of 5.68 lakh units in August 2026, registering a 2.65% year-on-year increase compared with 5.53 lakh units in the same month last year. Motorcycle sales declined 1.5% to 4.93 lakh units from 5.01 lakh units. Exports fell 24.6% to 26,093 units from 34,588 units. 

NMDC Ltd 

NMDC reported an 20.8% year-on-year increase in iron ore production to 4.07 million tonnes in August from 3.37 million tonnes. Iron ore sales increased 5.6% to 3.58 million tonnes from 3.39 million tonnes during the corresponding period. 

Ashiana Housing Ltd 

Ashiana Housing announced area bookings of 1.67 lakh square feet in August 2026. The value of the area sold stood at ₹165.93 crore, providing an update on the company’s sales performance during the month. 

Welspun Corp Ltd 

Welspun Corp and Perma-Pipe International Holdings, Inc. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the developers of Jordan’s National Water Carrier Project and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. 

Under the agreement, the companies plan to establish an integrated pipe manufacturing and advanced coating platform in Jordan. The facilities are intended to serve water, oil and gas, energy and infrastructure projects in Jordan and surrounding regional markets. 

Sical Logistics Ltd 

Sical Logistics has received a Letter of Acceptance from Central Coalfields for hiring heavy earth-moving machinery for overburden removal and coal extraction from a diverted 143-hectare patch of lower seams of the SDOC Mine in the Dhori area of Jharkhand. 

The contract has a tenure of five years and carries a total value of ₹534.73 crore. 

ARSS Infrastructure Projects Ltd 

ARSS Infrastructure Projects has received a work order worth ₹130.53 crore from East Coast Railway. The order is expected to add to the company’s project pipeline and remain in focus during the trading session. 

Gland Pharma Ltd 

The US Food and Drug Administration conducted a routine Good Manufacturing Practice inspection at Gland Pharma’s VSEZ Sterile Oncology formulations facility and API facility in Visakhapatnam between 24 August and 1 September 2026. 

The inspection concluded with zero Form 483 observations, a development that could draw investor attention given the importance of regulatory inspections for pharmaceutical manufacturers. 

Adani Green Energy Ltd 

Adani Green Energy Twenty Six A Limited, a wholly owned step-down subsidiary of Adani Green Energy, has operationalised a 139 MW solar power project at Khavda in Gujarat. 

Following the project’s operationalisation, Adani Green Energy’s total operational renewable generation capacity has reached 20,280.80 MW, while its operational battery energy storage system capacity stands at 3,551 MWh. 

Wipro Ltd 

Wipro has renewed its long-standing Digital Workplace Services contract with ABB. Under the renewed agreement, Wipro will continue providing end-to-end AI-enabled Digital Workplace Services for ABB’s global operations. 

The services will include advanced automation, AI-powered service capabilities and workplace modernisation initiatives aimed at enhancing employee experience. 

L&T Finance Ltd 

L&T Finance has received a perpetual Certificate of Registration from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India to operate as a Corporate Agent (Composite). The certificate took effect on 31 August following the expiry of its earlier certificate on 30 August. 

Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Ltd 

The Reserve Bank of India has approved the appointment of Carol Furtado, Executive Director, as Interim Chief Executive Officer of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank for three months from 1 September 2026, or until a regular Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer is appointed, whichever is earlier. 

EPL Ltd 

Epsilon Bidco, owned by affiliates of the Blackstone Group, has exited EPL by selling its entire holding of 8.44 crore equity shares, representing a 26.38% stake, at ₹240.57 per share. The transaction valued the stake at ₹2,032.33 crore. 

Of the shares sold, 3.37 crore shares, representing a 10.5% stake, were purchased by eight institutional investors, including Quant Mutual Fund, Bandhan Mutual Fund, Public Sector Pension Investment, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Edelweiss Mutual Fund, Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Company, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and 360 ONE. 

Happiest Minds Technologies Ltd 

BNP Paribas Financial Markets sold 10.19 lakh shares, representing a 0.66% stake in Happiest Minds Technologies, for ₹37.42 crore at ₹367.23 per share.

Symbiotec Pharmalab Ltd 

TIMF Holdings, owned by US-based investment firm Think Investments, acquired 3.77 lakh shares, representing a 0.58% stake in Symbiotec Pharmalab, for ₹37.3 crore at ₹989.20 per share. 

Wonder Electricals Ltd 

Nexus Global Opportunities Fund acquired an additional 15 lakh shares, representing a 1.11% stake in Wonder Electricals, for ₹12.12 crore at ₹80.84 per share. Nexus Global Opportunities Fund already held a 2.34% stake in the company as of June 2026. 

SBFC Finance Ltd 

HDFC Life Insurance Company purchased 73 lakh shares, representing a 0.65% stake in SBFC Finance, for ₹73.73 crore at ₹101 per share. 

Hatsun Agro Product Ltd 

Promoter Chandramogan R G acquired 8.25 lakh shares, representing a 0.37% stake in Hatsun Agro Product, from Ravi Kirti Shah for ₹98.34 crore at ₹1,192 per share. 

Manaksia Steels Ltd 

Prudent Equity Ace Fund, owned by Prudent Equity, purchased 6.15 lakh shares, representing a 0.93% stake in Manaksia Steels, for ₹6.38 crore at ₹103.83 per share. 

Annu Projects Ltd 

Annu Projects is scheduled for its mainboard listing and will be among the stocks to watch during the trading session on September 2, 2026. 

Sumax Engineering Ltd 

Sumax Engineering is scheduled for an SME listing and is also among the stocks that will be closely watched in Wednesday’s market session. 

Conclusion 

Monthly sales and production figures, fresh orders, regulatory developments, contract renewals, capacity additions and bulk deals are likely to influence stock-specific activity during Wednesday’s trading session.
