Cyient Semiconductors has announced a long term collaboration with US based Navitas Semiconductor to advance the use of gallium nitride power technologies in India.
The agreement aims to support India’s growing demand for high efficiency power solutions across AI data infrastructure, mobility, industrial systems and energy networks.
The 2 companies plan to jointly develop GaN devices, mixed signal ICs, digital chips, system level modules and a range of design enablement tools.
These solutions are intended for high power applications, including data centres supporting artificial intelligence, electric mobility, high performance computing infrastructure, power grid upgrades and industrial electrification.
Cyient Semiconductors said the collaboration is intended to create an end-to-end GaN design and manufacturing ecosystem within India. The agreement also aligns with the country’s broader manufacturing and semiconductor ambitions, particularly efforts to localise high value technology supply chains.
As per news reports, Suman Narayan, CEO of Cyient Semiconductors, described the agreement as a “pivotal step in India’s semiconductor future,” particularly in addressing high-voltage power delivery challenges.
Chris Allexandre, President and CEO of Navitas Semiconductor, said that India is positioned to grow faster than global GaN markets. He added that Cyient Semiconductors is the right partner to extend Navitas’ technology presence, noting that the collaboration supports India’s ambition to strengthen advanced electronics manufacturing.
As of December 08, 2025, at 2:54 PM, Cyient share price is trading at ₹1,133.90 per share, reflecting a decline of 3.03% from the previous closing price.
