HFCL Limited has received a purchase order worth around ₹157 crore from Tera Software Limited. The order is for the supply of various types of optical fibre cables. Tera Software is a consortium partner of ITI Limited, which is involved in the implementation of the BharatNet Phase III project.

As of 10:32 AM on May 13, 2025, HFCL share price was trading at ₹82.17, a 0.33% increase,  with a 31.98% decline over the past six months and a 11.63% drop over the past year.

Project Scope

The cables supplied under this order will be used in the West Bengal Telecom Circle. The BharatNet Phase III initiative focuses on expanding internet connectivity infrastructure in rural and semi-urban regions across India. HFCL will be supplying optical fibre cables of different specifications for this purpose.

Timeline and Execution

The order is to be completed within a period of three years. HFCL has confirmed that the order falls under general contract conditions and will be executed as part of a domestic supply contract. No international involvement is indicated.

As part of its disclosure to the stock exchanges, HFCL clarified that this is a domestic order. The company’s promoter or promoter group does not have any financial interest in the awarding entity, and the order does not qualify as a related party transaction.
