The government has said that domestic LPG supply remains normal across the country, even as concerns over the West Asia crisis continue.
Officials have also outlined steps to protect supply chains, support electric mobility, and ensure the safety of Indian seafarers in the Gulf region.
At the Inter Ministerial briefing in New Delhi, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Sujata Sharma, said the government is ensuring 100% LPG supply for domestic households. She noted that no dry out has been reported at any LPG distributor in the country.
She added that OTP based domestic LPG delivery is being followed to prevent diversion. According to her, commercial LPG supply has also improved and has now been restored to 70%.
Since March 14, more than 1 lakh 82 thousand tonnes of commercial LPG sales have been recorded.
The government said it has taken several steps to avoid supply chain disruption arising from the West Asia crisis.
These measures are aimed at maintaining normal domestic supply and reducing the risk of shortages in essential fuel availability.
The update suggests that authorities are closely watching the situation and acting early to keep the energy distribution system stable.
Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Dr Hanif Qureshi, said subsidies for electric 3 wheelers under the PM E DRIVE scheme have been extended by 2 years until March 2028.
He also said the subsidy period for electric two wheelers has been extended by three months until July this year.

Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Mukesh Mangal, said all Indian seafarers in the Persian Gulf region are safe. He confirmed that no incident involving Indian flagged vessels has been reported in the past 24 hours.
He also said the Indian flagged vessel Jag Vikram, carrying 20,400 metric tonnes of LPG and 24 seafarers, is expected to reach Kandla Port tomorrow.
