Promoted by Prathap C Reddy and associates in 1985, Om Sindoori Hotels owns and operates a 3-star deluxe Sindoori Hotel in Madras. It became operational in 1986. The company opened two new food and beverages outlets -- The Company Chef, an outdoor catering cell and Moms Confectionary, in 1992. In 1993-94, the company undertook an expansion-cum-modernisation programme. As a part of the project, the company took on lease, a 3-star hotel of Central Hotels Pvt Ltd, Madras, which is being managed by the company. The company also entered into an agreement with Halcyon Hotels & Resorts Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad, to manage their high class restaurants for a period of 5 years. OSL now plans to put 40 additional rooms at Central Sindoori. It also proposes to set up an Ayurvedic Awarness Centre and a Health Club providing natural remedies, yoga therapy, a lean cuisine and other facilities. Apart from these, plans to organise tours of South India are on the anvil for which discussions are on with tour operators and travel agencies.
