Rapido Integrates Ownly into Primary App, Combines Ride Booking and Food Delivery

Rapido has added its food delivery service, Ownly, to its main mobile application, as per The Business Standard news report. Users in Bengaluru can now order food through the same app used for booking bike taxis, autorickshaws, cabs, parcel deliveries and flight tickets.
The integration brings the company's mobility and food services onto a single platform. Ownly continues to operate as a separate service but is now accessible from the Rapido app.
Bengaluru Pilot Continues
Ownly was introduced earlier this year after a pilot launch in Bengaluru and remains available only in the city. The platform has partnered with nearly 20,000 restaurants. Restaurants listed on Ownly do not pay a commission on each order.
Instead, the platform follows a subscription-based model, under which restaurants pay a fixed fee to remain listed.
Existing Network to Support Deliveries
Rapido said food orders will be delivered through its existing rider network. The company stated that using the same riders for transport and deliveries could reduce operating costs and improve rider utilisation during periods of lower demand for mobility services.
It said the model is designed to avoid adding per-order commission costs for restaurant partners.
Larger User Base Through One Platform
The company operates in more than 400 cities and handles over 5 million rides daily. According to Rapido, India's ride-hailing user base is nearly twice the size of its online food ordering user base.
The integration allows the company to offer food delivery to customers already using the app for daily travel, without requiring them to download another application.

Ownly is now available through Rapido's main app, allowing users in Bengaluru to access food delivery alongside mobility services. The platform continues to follow a subscription-based model for restaurant partners.
