BYD Hikes Sealion 7 Premium Price by ₹50,000 From January 2026

Electric vehicle maker BYD has revised the pricing of its Sealion 7 SUV in India, announcing a price increase for the Premium variant effective from the start of the new year, while keeping other variants unchanged.
Premium Variant Price Revised
The Sealion 7 Premium now carries an ex-showroom price of ₹49.40 lakh, up from ₹48.90 lakh earlier, reflecting a hike of ₹50,000.
BYD said the revision has been driven by an increase in manufacturing costs. Customers who placed their bookings on or before December 31, 2025, will continue to be billed at the earlier price.
The Sealion 7 Performance variant has not seen any price revision and continues to be priced at ₹54.90 lakh (ex-showroom). BYD has not indicated any changes to specifications or features across the lineup following the price adjustment.
Product Highlights and Sales
The BYD Sealion 7 is equipped with an 82.56 kWh battery pack and has received a 5-star safety rating under Euro NCAP.
Since its introduction in the Indian market, the model has recorded sales of over 2,300 units, reflecting growing traction for premium electric SUVs.
