
Amazon is set to enhance its operations in India by investing $48 billion by 2030. This investment focuses on expanding AI and cloud infrastructure, enhancing fulfillment centres, and bolstering delivery stations.
On June 25, 2026, the company announced an additional $13 billion investment to strengthen its AI and cloud infrastructure in India, building on the previously declared $35 billion plans in 2025.
With the latest initiatives, Amazon's overall investment in India from 2026 to 2030 reaches $48 billion.
As part of its plans, Amazon will establish over 20 new fulfillment centres and more than 100 delivery stations across various parts of India. These include tier 3 and 4 cities, aiming to ensure quicker delivery nationwide.
Amazon aims to expand AWS data centre capacity in Mumbai and Hyderabad, enabling startups, enterprises, and government organisations with access to custom AI chips and managed AI services. The infrastructure improvement aligns with India’s digital transformation goals.
Over the years, Amazon has facilitated the digitisation of 1.2 crore small businesses, resulting in over $20 billion in total ecommerce exports. It has also provided job support to 28 lakh individuals and trained over 1 crore Indians in cloud skills.
Amazon’s cumulative investments in India from 2010-2030 now stand at over $88 billion.
