The company reported a total income of ₹1,057.71 crore and net profit of ₹138.94 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2026.
In the June 2026 quarter, Emami Limited reported a total income of ₹1,057.71 crore, marking a 14.3% year-on-year (YoY) increase from ₹925.68 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
The total income also saw an 11.5% rise quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) from ₹948.28 crore in the March 2026 quarter.
The company's net profit (PAT) for the quarter stood at ₹138.94 crore, showing a 15.4% YoY decline from ₹164.26 crore a year ago.
Additionally, the net profit decreased by 2.9% QoQ from ₹143.17 crore in the March 2026 quarter.
For the financial year 2026, Emami Limited reported a total income of ₹3,864.62 crore. The net profit (PAT) for the year was ₹775.26 crore. These figures provide a comprehensive view of the company's financial performance over the fiscal year.
The company's broad top-line expansion was powered entirely by intense consumer traction inside domestic channels, which successfully neutralized an external dip in global territories.
The domestic business division recorded a massive 20.0% year-on-year expansion, driven by an 8.0% volume growth framework alongside the tactical consolidation of newly acquired fast-moving consumer brands.
On a normalized like-to-like baseline, domestic sales value grew by a healthy 12.0%. Conversely, the international business division recorded a contraction of 12.0% during the quarter, bringing in ₹122.00 crore and accounting for a 12.0% slice of consolidated operations.
This decline was primarily caused by supply chain log bottlenecks and transport disruptions tied to geopolitical conflicts in West Asia, even though regional performance across the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia (MENAP) territories showed resilient fundamental product pull.
The organization transitioned its corporate disclosure architecture during the quarter to a category-led reporting framework to align with global industry standards and highlight its portfolio diversification.
The Hair and Scalp Care category led the domestic portfolio, bringing in ₹271.00 crore and contributing 30.0% to domestic business, supported by an 11.0% growth sprint in Navratna Cool Oils.
The Skin Care segment comprising legacy franchises like BoroPlus, Dermicool, and male grooming setups brought in ₹246.00 crore, ensuring a 27.0% slice of domestic business and achieving a 3.0% sales value increase.
The Healthcare division, anchored by the Zandu pain management and over-the-counter wellness portfolio, accounted for 26.0% of domestic revenues at ₹232.00 crore, marking a 2.0% value increase despite delayed monsoons in western regions.
Meanwhile, the strategic investments portfolio delivered a standout performance, growing by an impressive 61.0% on a like-to-like basis to generate ₹160.00 crore, which now accounts for 18.0% of domestic operations.
The three-month block tested the financial resilience of the firm's operating framework as it navigated one of the sharpest raw material inflationary spikes witnessed by the FMCG sector in recent years.
Total materials cost surged by 28.5% year-on-year to hit ₹355.20 crore, compared to a baseline expenditure of ₹276.50 crore last year, pushing the cost of goods sold (COGS) to 34.2% and contracting corporate gross margins by 360 basis points down to 65.8%.
Advertising and sales promotion expenses rose to ₹203.40 crore, while staff and human resource salaries required a layout of ₹135.70 crore. General administration and other ancillary overhead costs were strictly managed, rising moderately by 3.9% to reach ₹118.70 crore.
Despite intense material cost headwinds, the firm sustained positive bottom-line expansion through rigorous factory cost-optimization plans and operational efficiencies.
Consolidated Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) grew by 5.6% year-on-year to reach ₹226.20 crore, yielding a stable EBITDA margin of 21.8%. Other unallocable non-operating corporate income stood at ₹18.50 crore, while finance costs rose to ₹5.60 crore.
Brand amortization costs for acquired trademarks were logged at ₹18.80 crore, alongside standard depreciation charges of ₹24.00 crore.
This culminated in a consolidated profit before tax (PBT) of ₹194.70 crore, representing a 4.3% year-on-year increase from ₹186.80 crore.
However, following a substantial 147.7% jump in total tax outlays to ₹55.80 crore, the net profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter finished at ₹138.90 crore, down from ₹164.20 crore in Q1 of the previous year.
Emami actively advanced its long-term corporate growth strategy during the quarter by executing multiple strategic investments to capture fast-growing consumer spaces.
The firm increased its equity holding in Axiom Ayurveda (famous for the AloFrut beverage brand), transforming it into a wholly-owned subsidiary effective April 01, 2026.
Furthermore, the company acquired a controlling majority stake in IncNut Digital, a consolidation completed in June 2026 that strengthens its direct-to-consumer footprint in the personalized beauty and personal care (BPC) segment through online brands like Vedix and SkinKraft.
These brand additions join a massive distribution engine that supplies over 5.4 million physical retail touchpoints via 3,400 specialized distributors across India, alongside global operations reaching into 70 sovereign countries.
