RBL Bank Share Price in Focus; Gross Advances Grow 40% in Q2, Deposits Up 34%

RBL Bank’s gross advances stood at ₹1,433.5 billion as of September 30, 2026, according to provisional Q2 figures released by the bank on October 5, 2026. The loan book was up 40% from ₹1,023.3 billion a year earlier and 22% from ₹1,173.2 billion at the end of June.
The bank reported 30% year-on-year growth in advances during the quarter, excluding loans provided by its international banking unit against FCNR(B) deposits. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, this growth stood at 13%.
Deposits Increase 34%
Total deposits reached ₹1,562.8 billion by September-end, compared with ₹1,166.7 billion in the corresponding period last year. This represented a 34% year-on-year increase. Deposits were also 25% higher than the ₹1,248.3 billion reported at the end of June 2026.
The increase in advances was therefore higher than deposit growth during the period. Gross advances rose 40% year-on-year, compared with a 34% increase in total deposits.
Retail, Wholesale Lending
Secured retail advances increased 51% year-on-year and 42% quarter-on-quarter, including loans provided by the international banking unit against FCNR(B) deposits. Wholesale advances recorded 55% year-on-year growth and 21% quarter-on-quarter growth.
The advances book comprised 56% retail and 44% wholesale lending as of September 30. This compared with the reported growth rates across both segments during the quarter.
CASA and Liquidity
CASA deposits rose to ₹425.3 billion from ₹371.7 billion a year earlier, a 14% increase. The CASA ratio stood at 27.2%, against 31.9% in September 2025 and 29.2% in June 2026.
The average liquidity coverage ratio for the quarter was 148%, compared with 127% a year earlier and 133% in June. The figures are provisional and subject to approval and limited review by the statutory auditors.
