On October 3, 2026, Vedanta Limited released its production figures for the quarter ending September 30, 2026, as per the exchange filings.  

The report highlights the company's performance in zinc, silver, and port operations, showcasing growth in several areas. 

Zinc India Achievements 

Zinc India achieved its highest-ever second-quarter and first-half refined metal production. Mined metal production reached 2,71,000 tonnes for the quarter and 5,39,000 tonnes for the half-year, driven by increased ore production.  

Refined zinc production was 2,12,000 tonnes, and refined lead production increased by 14% year-on-year to 51,000 tonnes. Silver production rose to 173 tonnes, a 20% increase year-on-year. 

Zinc International and FACOR Performance 

Zinc International commissioned Gamsberg Phase 2 in the second quarter, with production expected to start in October 2026.  

Total mined metal production was 53,000 tonnes, up 9% quarter-on-quarter.  

FACOR reported its highest-ever second-quarter ore production at 50,000 tonnes, a 6% increase year-on-year, and ferrochrome production grew by 26% to 24,000 tonnes.

Copper and Port Business Developments 

Copper India sales increased by 16% year-on-year to 52,000 tonnes. However, Copper International sales decreased by 74% to 6,000 tonnes due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.  

The port business achieved its highest-ever first-half cargo handling, with discharge volume rising by 32% year-on-year to 41,85,000 tonnes and dispatch volume increasing by 18% to 33,91,000 tonnes. 

Vedanta Share Price Performance 

As of October 05, 2026, at 12:11 PM, Vedanta share price on NSE was trading at ₹254.20, up by 0.85% from the previous closing price.
