Royal Enfield has expanded its premium motorcycle portfolio with the launch of the new Bullet 650 in India. The motorcycle brings the brand's longest-running nameplate to its 650cc platform, combining heritage-inspired styling with modern engineering and features.
Retail sales have commenced across the country, with the model available in Cannon Black and Battleship Blue colour options.
Originally introduced in 1932, the Bullet is currently in its 94th year and remains the world's longest-running motorcycle in continuous production.
The new Bullet 650 represents the most powerful version of the model to date and is designed to retain the motorcycle's traditional character while offering enhanced performance.
The motorcycle is powered by Royal Enfield's parallel twin-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed gearbox and a light slipper clutch.
According to the company, the setup is intended to deliver smooth acceleration and comfortable performance across city rides and longer journeys.
The Bullet 650 is built on a steel tubular spine frame and uses Showa suspension, including 41mm front forks with 120mm travel and twin rear hydraulic shock absorbers with 112mm travel. It rides on a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel.
While mechanically updated, the motorcycle retains several signature Bullet design elements, including the teardrop-shaped fuel tank, hand-painted gold pinstripes, winged badging and bench-style seat.
Other features include a casquette-mounted LED headlamp, twin Tiger Eye pilot lamps, chrome peashooter exhausts, raised handlebars and retro-inspired switchgear.
The instrument cluster combines analogue styling with a digital LCD display that provides information such as fuel level, trip details, gear position, and service reminders. Riders will also have access to a range of genuine motorcycle accessories for personalisation.
As per the exchange filings, B Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Enfield, said the company focused on preserving the Bullet's distinctive identity while integrating the performance and refinement of its 650cc twin-cylinder platform.
He added that the response received since the motorcycle's global showcase at EICMA 2025 reflected the enduring appeal of the Bullet among riders across markets.
The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 is priced at ₹3,64,856 (ex-showroom) and is available through authorised dealerships across India.
