Bank of India Q1 FY27 Results: Net Profit Rises 36% to ₹3,068 Crore, Asset Quality Improves

Net Profit Rises 36% in Q1 FY27
The bank's net profit increased 36.23% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹3,068 crore, compared to ₹2,252 crore in the same quarter last year.
Operating profit rose 25.99% YoY to ₹5,051 crore, while Net Interest Income (NII) grew 12.61% to ₹6,833 crore. Non-interest income also increased 19.07% YoY to ₹2,579 crore.
Business Growth Remains Strong
Bank of India's overall business expanded 16.57% YoY to ₹17.56 lakh crore.
Key business highlights include:
- Global deposits increased 14.90% YoY to ₹9.58 lakh crore.
- Global advances rose 18.64% YoY to ₹7.98 lakh crore.
- Domestic deposits grew 16.15%, while domestic advances increased 19.20%.
- RAM (Retail, Agriculture and MSME) advances rose 19.75% YoY, accounting for 58.30% of total domestic advances.
- Retail loans grew 20.60%, MSME advances increased 19.34%, and agriculture credit rose 18.92%.
Asset Quality Improves Further
The bank reported a significant improvement in its asset quality during the quarter.
- Gross NPAs declined 26.41% YoY to ₹14,454 crore.
- Net NPAs fell 18.81% YoY to ₹4,019 crore.
- Gross NPA ratio improved to 1.81% from 2.92% a year ago.
- Net NPA ratio declined to 0.51% from 0.75%.
- Provision Coverage Ratio (PCR) improved to 93.83%.
The slippage ratio also improved to 0.24%.

- Around 3.58 lakh new PM Jan Dhan Yojana accounts were opened during the quarter.
- Internet banking (Omni Neo) users reached 10.1 million.
- Mobile banking users increased to 13.9 million.
- Digital transactions rose 22% YoY to 2.08 billion.
Branch Network and Recognition
As of June 30, 2026, Bank of India had 38,063 customer touchpoints, including 5,510 domestic branches across rural, semi-urban, urban, and metro locations.
During the quarter, the bank also received several industry recognitions, including awards for innovation, banking certification, and excellence in price discovery.
