Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 5 December, 2023

On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with the Sensex up around 402 points or 0.58% at 69,267 while the Nifty-50 up around 123 points or 0.56% at 20,809. About 2,199 shares have advanced, 1,240 declined, and 158 are unchanged on the BSE. 

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were State Bank of India, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and HDFC Bank whereas the top Sensex losers were Tech Mahindra Ltd, Infosys Ltd and HCL Technologies Ltd.   

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.52% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.47%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Indian Overseas Bank and IDFC First Bank while the top small-cap gainers were Spencer Retail Ltd and Entertainment Network India Ltd. 

The BSE Power Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Information Technology Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Power Index soared 2.15% led by Adani Green Energy Ltd and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd while the BSE Information Technology Index was down 0.68% dragged down by Cyient Ltd and HCL Technologies Ltd. 

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending:  Suzlon Energy Ltd, Pritika Auto India Ltd and Hazoor Multi Projects Ltd.
