Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 20 March, 2024
On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading in the red with the Sensex down around 170 points or 0.23% at 71,845, while the Nifty-50 was down around 59 points or 0.27% at 21,757. About 1,215 shares have advanced; 2,182 declined; and 154 are unchanged on the BSE.
Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:
The top Sensex gainers were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Nestle India Ltd and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd while the top Sensex losers were Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Tata Motors Ltd and Tata Steel Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading red, with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.80% and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 90%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Macrotech Developers Ltd and GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd, while the top small-cap gainers were LT Foods Ltd and Time Technoplast Ltd.
The BSE Teck Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Metals Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Teck Index surged by 0.05%, up by Indus Tower Ltd and Infosys Ltd while the BSE Metals Index is down by 1.80% led by Jindal Stainless Ltd and Jindal Steel & Power Ltd.
In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: Gensol Engineering Ltd, Metro Brands Ltd and Eicher Motors Ltd.
