India’s benchmark indices ended marginally higher on July 30, 2025, lifted by strong earnings from Larsen & Toubro. The BSE Sensex advanced 143.91 points to close at 81,481.86, while the NSE Nifty 50 added 33.95 points to settle at 24,855.05.
However, gains were capped as investors remained cautious ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s policy decision and uncertainty surrounding the India-US trade agreement.

L&T gained 4.68% to close at ₹3,659.20 after strong quarterly earnings. The stock witnessed a volume of 87.60 lakh shares with a total turnover of ₹3,19,353.44 lakh.
Sun Pharma rose 1.51% to end at ₹1,736.30. The stock traded 23.18 lakh shares, generating a turnover of ₹40,142.33 lakh.
Tata Consumer climbed 1.36% to ₹1,076.00. It saw trading volume of 11.75 lakh shares with a value of ₹12,643.89 lakh.
NTPC advanced 1.11% to ₹338.30. Over 1.25 crore shares changed hands, amounting to a turnover of ₹42,480.19 lakh.
Maruti gained 0.95% to close at ₹12,588.00. Total volume stood at 2.03 lakh shares, with a turnover of ₹25,625.23 lakh.

Tata Motors declined 3.52% to ₹668.00 amid high volumes of 1.89 crore shares and turnover of ₹1,26,612.43 lakh.
Hero MotoCorp dropped 1.95% to ₹4,241.00. The scrip traded 5.46 lakh shares, contributing to ₹23,258.03 lakh in turnover.
PowerGrid fell 1.06% to ₹290.00. Over 1.05 crore shares were traded, with turnover totaling ₹30,681.10 lakh.
Bajaj Auto slipped 1.00% to ₹8,046.00. Around 2.22 lakh shares changed hands, resulting in a turnover of ₹17,974.48 lakh.
Cipla ended 1.00% lower at ₹1,558.20. The pharma major saw a turnover of ₹21,702.89 lakh on 13.89 lakh shares.
