Axis Mutual Fund has announced changes to the exit load structure of 4 of its equity schemes. Effective June 15, 2026, the fund house will remove the exit load for its Large Cap, Flexicap and Large & Midcap Funds, while reducing the holding period applicable for exit load in its Midcap Fund.
According to a notice-cum-addendum issued by the fund house, the revised exit load structure will apply to all prospective investments made on or after June 15, 2026, including investments through Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs), Systematic Transfer Plans (STPs) and switch transactions.
The changes will form an integral part of the Scheme Information Document (SID) and Key Information Memorandum (KIM), while all other terms and conditions of the schemes will remain unchanged.
Axis Mutual Fund has removed the exit load for the Axis Large Cap Fund, Axis Flexicap Fund, and Axis Large and Midcap Fund.
Currently, the Axis Large Cap Fund and Axis Large and Midcap Fund allow redemptions of up to 10% of investments without an exit load within 12 months from the date of allotment, while the remaining amount attracts an exit load of 1%.
Similarly, the Axis Flexicap Fund permits redemptions of up to 20% of investments without an exit load within 12 months, with a 1% exit load applicable on the remaining amount. Under the revised structure, all 3 schemes will have no exit load.
The fund house has also revised the exit load structure for the Axis Midcap Fund by reducing the applicable holding period to 3 months from 12 months.
Under the revised structure, redemptions within 3 months of allotment will attract an exit load of 1% on investments exceeding 10% of the invested amount, while redemptions after 3 months will not attract any exit load.
The existing structure applies the same exit load but with a holding period of 12 months.
Axis Mutual Fund has revised the exit load structure across 4 equity schemes effective June 15, 2026. While exit loads have been removed for the Large Cap, Flexicap and Large & Midcap Funds, the holding period for the Midcap Fund has been reduced from 12 months to 3 months.
