Sensex Opens in Green on Oct 6; Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv & More Lead Gains

Indian benchmark index BSE Sensex traded in the green on Monday, October 6, 2025. At 10:04 AM, the Sensex was up 212.94 points or 0.26%, at 81,420.11, after opening at 81,274.79 and touching an intraday high of 81,463.64. The index’s low during early trade was 81,155.88.
BSE Sensex 30 Stocks
Among the top gainers were Bajaj Finance (+2.43%), Bajaj Finserv (+1.60%), and Kotak Bank (+1.37%). Axis Bank (+1.21%), TCS (+1.20%), and HCL Tech (+1.02%) also posted strong gains. On the downside, Power Grid (-1.57%), Tata Steel (-1.10%), and NTPC (-0.82%) were among the laggards.
Market sentiment remained positive, with most Sensex stocks trading higher, supported by buying in financials and IT counters, despite mild profit-booking in energy and select industrial stocks.
Sectoral Performance
Early trade saw broad-based gains with BSE Bankex and BSE Sensex 50 up by 0.72% and 0.28%, respectively.
