The Nifty Smallcap 100 Index opened the September 15, 2026, session with a positive bias and registered an intraday high of 20,025.20 soon after opening. The index later touched an intraday low of 19,549.20.

The Nifty Smallcap 100 opened above its previous close at the 19,996.50 level and registered an intraday high of 20,025.20.  

As the session progressed, continuous selling pressure emerged, dragging the index down by over 350 points from its previous close to touch an intraday low of 19,549.20.  

At 1:42 PM, the index was trading at 19,551.30, down by 355.00 points or 1.78% on September 15, 2026. 

Advance Decline Ratio of Nifty Smallcap 100 Index 

The market breadth of Nifty Smallcap 100 remained heavily weak during the afternoon session on September 15, 2026, as buying interest was highly selective, leaving only 16 constituents in the green, while broader selling pressure impacted the small-cap counters and the remaining 84 stocks traded in the red. 

Top Gainers and Losers of Nifty Smallcap 100 Index on September 15, 2026 

The market index recorded highly volatile movements across its major constituents during the session.  

Among the gainers, Tata Chemicals (TATACHEM) led the positive traction with a Last Traded Price (LTP) of 734.90, gaining 122.45 points (+19.99%).  

It was followed by Firstsource Solutions (FSL), which rose by 38.90 points (+15.71%) to an LTP of 286.50.  

Afcons Infrastructure (AFCONS) maintained a strong positive bias, trading at an LTP of 268.90 with a value increase of 15.10 points (+5.95%), while Zensar Technologies (ZENSARTECH) rounded out the top gainers at an LTP of 449.50, ticking up by 24.25 points (+5.70%). 

Conversely, severe selling pressure was observed among the top losers.  

Welspun Corp (WELCORP) dropped the sharpest in percentage terms, falling by 216.00 points (-8.07%) to an LTP of 2,460.60.  

Netweb Technologies (NETWEB) also faced notable corrections, shedding 357.00 points (-7.10%) to reach an LTP of 4,670.00.  

Data Patterns (DATAPATTNS) lost value, decreasing by 341.60 points (-7.07%) to trade at an LTP of 4,487.60, while Ather Energy (ATHERENERG) slid by 83.20 points (-5.02%) to cross an LTP of 1,572.80.

On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, the Nifty Smallcap 100 traded with notable losses of 1.78% by afternoon.
