Closing Bell: Sensex, Nifty Closed in Green; UltraTech Cement Leads Gainers on December 2

On December 2, 2024, both the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50 ended the day in green. The BSE Sensex closed at 80,248.08, up by 445.29 points or 0.56%. Similarly, the Nifty50 also closed at 24,276.05, up by 144.95 points or 0.6%.

Sectoral Performance

On Monday, Nifty FMCG and Nifty PSU Bank ended in the red. Nifty Realty, Nifty Consumer Durables and Nifty Midsmall Healthcare ended in the green. Nifty Realty and Nifty Consumer Durables rose by more than 2%.

Top Gainers and Losers

On Monday, the top gainers on the Nifty include UltraTech Cement, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise and Grasim Industries. In contrast, the losers were HDFC Life Insurance Company, NTPC and Cipla.
