Quiet Period

The Quiet Period, which usually lasts for 25 days after an IPO, is a period of silence where all individuals involved in the IPO are restricted from discussing the company's future prospects. However, this does not apply to analysts who work for underwriters, as they are allowed to issue buy/hold/sell recommendations once the Quiet Period expires. This is an important time in the IPO process, as it allows for unbiased analysis and evaluation of the company's performance.
