Indian benchmark indices took a significant dive, mirroring the downturn seen in global indices amid rising concerns over tensions between Israel and Iran. The downward trend was evident across broader markets as well, with selling pressure visibly impacting trading activities.

At 10:45 am, the BSE Sensex tumbled 0.66% reaching a level of 73,764. The Nifty 50 index plunged 0.61% to the 22,381 level. On the Sensex, JSW Steel, Nestle India and Tata Consultancy Services were among the top gainers, whereas Tata Motors, ICICI Bank and Hindustan Unilever Ltd were among the market draggers.

    Barbeque-Nation Hospitality Ltd witnessed a remarkable fifty-fold surge in trading volume today, yet its shares struggled to pick up momentum, fluctuating around an intraday high of Rs 540.95 per share on the BSE. The company stands as a leading player in India’s casual dining chains, offering unique dining experiences with live barbeque grills integrated into dining tables.

  2. Marksans Pharma Ltd

    Marksans Pharma Ltd experienced an extraordinary surge in trading volume, exceeding fifty-five times its usual level, yet faced a sharp decline of over 9% in early trades, echoing the prevailing bearish market sentiment. The stock reached an intraday low of Rs 148.05 per share on the BSE. The company specializes in formulating pharmaceutical products, particularly focusing on over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription drugs with diverse applications across various healthcare sectors.

  3. Senco Gold Ltd

    Senco Gold Ltd stood out amidst a generally weak market, with its shares soaring by more than 18% to reach a 52-week high of Rs 948 per share on the BSE.
