The benchmark indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50, lost their early gains and ended in the red on Wednesday. The Sensex dropped by 167.71 points (0.21%) to close at 81,467.10 after trading between 82,319.21 and 81,342.89. Similarly, the Nifty50 fell by 31.20 points (0.12%) to finish at 24,981.95, with a trading range of 25,234.05 to 24,947.70 during the day.
